Oxygen Calculation Tool is an iPhone app designed specifically for transport medical professionals. With this app, users can easily calculate their minutes of usable oxygen by entering their oxygen supply and flow rate.
One of the key features of Oxygen Calculation Tool is its ability to add and delete up to 10 cylinders for both portable and onboard supply. Users can also choose to enter the flow rate as a free flow setting or calculate it from ventilation settings, including minute ventilation and FiO2 settings. Additionally, the app allows users to enter ventilator-specific bias flow if necessary.
To assist with medication calculations, Oxygen Calculation Tool includes a drip rate calculator. By entering the supply and dose information, users can determine the rate in ml/hr.
For reference, the app provides a page outlining the math calculations used, as well as a list of oxygen cylinders and their conversion factors. Users can also provide feedback through the settings if they need a specific cylinder size added.
Oxygen Calculation Tool is compatible with dark mode and rounds calculations down to the nearest whole minute. Please note that the app does not subtract 200 psi from the initial input to account for residual O2, but users can manually subtract this if desired.
